BE A KID AGAIN!!!

Have you ever noticed that the bright yellow dazzle of early morning sunlight is different from the orange red tinge of the late afternoon sun?

 Have you ever noticed the slightly musty smell of earth after a light rain shower? 

Did you also notice that after that rain everything seemed more calm, beautiful, and colorful…? The rusty metallic taste of water from heaven, please tell me you’ve tasted it!

OK, let me get to the weird part. When the wind announces the coming of a heavy rainfall, do you hear the voices the wind dances to?  It’s like raw unadulterated music.

Some of my favorite things in the world include; the crooked smile of my mother when you tell her how delicious her food was. The aroma of freshly prepared pepper soup. The taste of fresh roasted corn and coconut.

The sound of crickets having their usual karaoke every night. The folk tales my grandma used to tell me and the songs that came with it (I miss dis one die), The sound of Nina Simmone’s voice through my loudspeaker….

Have you ever taken a second to appreciate how blue the sky is? The colors around you? The midday heat that makes those ugly wet circles appear on the underarms of your shirt. Tell me you’ve seen a real flower! That you’ve actually touched and examined it!  OK if you haven't let me bless you with a photo, i saw this beauty last week!

Has someone scratched your back lately? Or have you forgotten the intense pleasure it gives.

i just want to make sure you are LIVING, amidst the hustle and bustle.  The busy days trying to make ends meet, do you take a second to BREATHE and EXIST? Or do you just work and visit clubs on weekends as a way of unwinding.  I keep saying this; LIFE progresses towards one point which is DEATH. If you’re lucky enough you get old before it happens (I know that is some scary stuff).  SO START LIVING
