I knew I was hooked, an addiction I would never recover from


The first time you said hi, I forgot how to speak
I stared stupidly thinking how beautiful your eyes were

The first time you said you loved me, all my awkward ways
I looked away quickly so you won’t see the crystal-like pools in my eyes

The first time we made love I clung unto you listening to you mutter;
 I love you babe, I love you! While you took my pride

The last time I saw you, it wasn’t you anymore
 You said you were leaving, that I didn’t deserve you

 I cried, I crawled on all fours pleading with you not to
It didn’t matter if you didn’t love me, my love was enough

The last time I saw you, the last time… I saw you
You walked right out the door with my heart in your palms.
