Snuggling or not snuggling?

I was devastated when I got the hint that men might not like snuggling after all!

I felt like a bullet passed right through me (literally). Its mind boggling that you can find almost everything on social media these days, there’s always a piece of information on anything you’re looking for. Sorry I’m digressing.
So I saw a supposedly funny video of a boyfriend’s plight when sleeping with his significant other. The video on its own was rather funny and cute, but what shattered my heart into a million pieces of nothingness was the comment section:

Yes I like to snuggle! Call me the overly affectionate cat if you wish (shrugs)
  I can feel the protests rising up your throats.
‘But I like sleeping comfortably!’
‘It’s just so unnecessary!’ Or maybe you’re like those guys who are thankful their partners hate cuddling. Don’t rejoice just yet. Apart from being the easiest way to experience solid intimacy we need with our loved ones, you might be missing out on amazing health benefits!
 Let me go ahead and list out the benefits of cuddling (according to wwwlifehack.org);

1. Cuddling releases a hormone “oxytocin” commonly described as the feel good hormone. This hormone in your blood stream does everything from making you feel good to helping you connect with others.

2. It boosts your immune system; the release of oxytocin makes you feel safe, secured like nothing can hurt you. This inadvertently boosts your immune system (power of positive thinking or feeling in this case)

3. Relives pain; just as it boosts your immune system cuddling can reduce your pain levels with the help of oxytocin.

4. It lowers the risk of heart disease says Stress management coach and holistic therapist Catherine A. Connors.

5. It helps you sleep better; whether you’re spooning all night or just cuddling with your partner for ten minutes, it generally relieves stress and in turn guarantees a better rest.
I could go on and on. There’s clearly more where that came from, but the day has taken its toll on me and I’ll have to quickly retire to bed.
Just like we used to state during debate classes in secondary school; with these few points of mine I hope I have been able to convince you that snuggling is better than “NOT” snuggling. I can feel a smile lighting up your face!  Night lovers!
